For many years, the branch of the Jelmoli department store was located at this site. Imagine, back then the department store even advertised with an advanced air curtain instead of swinging or revolving doors and was proud to have the first escalator in the whole of Aargau.
Reading all this today, one quickly realizes that it is time to take a new step and modernize the area. The world has changed, and it is important that this site also moves with the times.
No less than five teams of talented architects and landscape architects have developed their visions for the future of the City-Galerie site in Brugg.
In order to best plan the minimal deconstruction of the existing building, we used the as-built survey to model a 3D model as a basis for the future of the area.
