Walking leisurely through the village center in Duvin, it feels like taking a stroll through the past. The carefully maintained houses and a few small farm stores from which the scent of fresh local specialties emanates, reflect the charm of this Graubünden village.
However, not everything is quite as romantic as it looks at first glance. Many of the stables in the area are unfortunately no longer in active use and are fighting against time and change.
In the past, hay was stored in these barns. Anyone walking through rural areas these days has surely seen these round, colored hay bales wrapped in foil. These can be stored outside and the old barns are no longer necessary.
A lot is done locally to accompany the villages in their development. And to preserve these monuments or to reuse them.
I am personally very pleased that we can contribute to this with our work.
Every wooden beam is important in the conversion of this barn, which is why we have modeled every single beam precisely and in its real form. The digital 3D model facilitates planning, as the current condition is directly available in CAD format and can be used for further processing.
Now new life is breathed into the barn and we are grateful that the basic structure and the village image will be preserved.
