Every building is unique. This is the basic idea when someone asks us for the price of architectural surveying and the creation of floor plans or a 3D model.
We look at the building from the ground up for every request, preferably through our cool quote request tool on our homepage. We observe the year of construction, the type of construction, what materials were used in the construction, how big is the building and much more.
A block of flats from the 80s has completely different challenges than a farmhouse in the beautiful Bündner Oberland.
With an apartment block, for example, there are many individual apartments and thus many bathrooms, kitchens and doors. With a farmhouse, we encounter impressive wooden structures and sloping walls and floors. These are reasons why we take the time to analyze each house on its own.
In addition, there are external factors such as the building project and interests such as historic preservation.
Technical factors also play a role: should it be 3D or 2D? If, for example, many sections and views are required for the planned conversion, the 3D model quickly performs better in terms of price than classic 2D plans.
The choice of CAD software also plays a role. Not every software is equally strong in modeling in the inventory. We are proficient in (almost) all CAD software, whether ArchiCAD, Revit, Vectorworks or Allplan. However, we are for example about 10% more efficient in ArchiCAD than in Vectorworks. This is reflected in the offer price.
A final factor is relationships. Our prices are never set in stone. We think long-term and want to turn guests into regulars. We would like to get to know each other better with each project and thus also adapt each offer to its profile. We want the direct exchange, also gladly to the not gladly addressed topic of the price.
There are projects where there is simply no budget, for example, when old plans have already been digitized, but now they do not match the inventory and yet a reliable inventory is still needed. Then we are happy to find solutions. We may have to make price concessions in these cases, but this can result in great long-term relationships and future joint projects. We prefer to make cuts in price than in quality or scope. We do not offer half measures.
So back to the start. What does a building survey really cost? So the question should be, what does YOUR building survey cost?
You can find out by requesting a quote from us. You will be surprised how fast you will get the answer. You will also receive reference objects and examples of what is included in our service. We are ready to inspire you as well.
